Second hand housing sales increased by 23% in 2020 compared to the previous year

The "Second Hand Housing Market Report" for the 4th quarter of 2020, prepared in cooperation with the All Entrepreneurial Real Estate Consultants Association (TÜGEM) and the Technology Oriented Real Estate Appraisal and Location Analysis Platform Endeksa.com, has been announced. According to the report, which evaluates both the year 2020 and the 4th quarter, the number of house sales decreased by 30% in the 4th quarter compared to the same period last year, but the year total increased by 23% compared to the previous year.


According to the "Second Hand Housing Market" report prepared in cooperation with TÜGEM and Endeksa, the number of house sales in 2020 increased by 11% compared to the previous year and reached 1 million 499 thousand 316. Second hand house sales, on the other hand, accounted for 69% of total sales and increased by 23% compared to last year and reached 1 million 29 thousand 576 units. It was noteworthy that in 2020, housing sales with credit, which constitute 38% of total sales, increased by 72% compared to the previous year and reached 573 thousand 337 units. Looking at the sales of houses to foreigners, it was seen that the number of sales decreased by 10% compared to the previous year and reached 40,812 units.
